The long-term economic fiscal crisis; spending and debt

2 The long term economic fiscal crisis; spending and debtPlease keep all comments and debates civil, no vulgarities, ECT…

The problem is that politicians want to spend too much, use too much credit and tax too much.

We need to pay off the debt and only use credit when it is necessary, such as a war emergency, national disaster….

If we tax too much in drains our economy, thusly revenue decreases.

Unfortunately Democrats and Republicans are trying to spend our way out of debt. That’s just not going to work. We need to cut expenditures. We need to get back to basics (squares).

I think most of the blame should go to the Democrats, however as time progresses the Republicans seem to be more like Democrats. The Democrats and Republicans are spending wildly. Right now we are in a crisis with the war on terror, so expenses are naturally high, unfortunately politicians are still making plans for more programs that cost a lot of money. Instead of trying to expand our government, we should try to save it. If we expand it, it will collapse and die.

If our economy collapses, the UN, NATO or some other government may try to come in and take control of the situation to help us, that help would almost certainly end up being a loss of sovereignty. We are already giving away our sovereignty willy-nilly at an alarming rate, under the guise of such things as global warming environmentalism, free trade agreements, ect…

In the future we may be ruled by Russians, Chinese, Indians, or South Americans if we don’t start becoming more financially responsible.

I don’t agree with Beck about a number of things (ie. Global Warming and Evolution) but I think he’s hit the nail on the head here.

If we were on the gold standard, we would not have this conversation. Internet would not exist and many other things, because nobody would pay for it in gold.

Brokers are calling clients all day telling them to hold, when they hang up they turn around and sell their own , save yourself now SELL don’t let the Media lead you to the slaughter!

Our eyes are on the almighty American Dollar. Instead of almighty God.

    Ron Paul is an …
Ron Paul is an appeaser like Neville Chamberlain. It is pitiful how shallow minded and vindictive you Ron Paul advocates are that you would enjoy eating dog food just to see others eat dog food. You also failed to consider that Ron Paul’s weak stance on terrorism and rogue nations increases the likelihood that your food would be contaminated with radiation, chemical or biological weapons.

Friendorfoeforever: I think that’s quite possible. However I think there probably would be a delayed reaction. Some economies would probably actually flourish for a while but there is a good chance they also would get pulled down.

Personally I think the US dollar is going down, taking every other currency with it before out eyes.

    The even bigger …
The even bigger problem is money creation. Money is created by debt. Each dollar is printed only when someone borrows it. (Search Money as debt or Fractional Reserve Banking) However the interest to pay the debt is NEVER printed. So someone else must borrow greater amounts to pay that debt. This creates big problem as time goes on because interest never exists money must be created exponentially. This system has been done many times in history and has always failed.

I look forward to the day you are day late and a dollar short. When the TV called Ron Paul names and gave no explanation I investigated thinking if he is a mad man there would be evidence. Instead I discovered why oil is now over $100 and gold is at $975 and how to protect myself from what you would consider a fictional “Financial Collapse” of the American dollar. I look forward to the day of seeing ppl eat dog food cuz they have no money cuz the voted for it.

If you price oil in …
If you price oil in gold (real Money) it has gone up only 10% since 1960. If we were still on the gold standard, oil would be $3.80 a barrel, yes, you read that right. These things go up in price because government prints money, it’s that simple.

Terrorists don’t exist. It’s made up nonsense to scare you. Don’t you remember in the 80s it was the Russians who were going to get us.

  • Schemefighter:

    lezlitaz: Ron …
lezlitaz: Ron Paul’s economic plan is flawed because it’s incompetent on national and reckless on world security. If Iraq used WMDs in the middle east, what do you think 1000 USD a barrel of oil would do to the US and world economy? What do you think a few nukes going off, or a ton of anthrax would do to the US and world economy if a few major cities were attacked?

  • Schemefighter:

    lezlitaz: Ron Paul …
lezlitaz: Ron Paul is very bad on national security; he wants to be an isolationist and an appeaser much like Neville Chamberlain was to the Nazis. Ron Paul wants to appease the terrorists and other fascists that want to proliferate WMDs.

  • Schemefighter:

    lezlitaz: …
lezlitaz: Regrettably of current candidates, he has the most conservative spending and tax plan; that make me like him in that respect. However his morality sucks, he is soft on constitutional rights, like the right to bear arms. He has a bunch of morally bankrupt spammers spamming and using lies and smear tactics. For instance lying and calling a Vet and POW (McCain) a murderer.

  • Schemefighter:

    lezlitaz: He might …
lezlitaz: He might be the current US presidential candidate to be talking like this. However Ronald Regan said the same thing as Glenn Beck and me. Regan saved us from Carter’s collapsing economy and poor foreign relations. Ross Perot warned us about spending and the jobs being sucked out. Regan and Perot nailed it decades before. I would like to see ANN Coulter, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, & Rush Limbaugh in office. Liberals would have a Heart attack/stroke.

  • lezlitaz:

    There is only one …
There is only one candidate who has been talking about this for years–Ron Paul

So why does every media outlet hate him? War is money to the media outlets- the millitary complex has a choke hold on the politicians.
